Payment Gateway Monitoring Mechanisms

The majority of companies today are international while they run their businesses online. That’s why they need the online payment processing software which will be available 24/7. Unfortunately, in some cases it is impossible to avoid problems and errors, so your task is to detect them as quickly as possible. There are two payment gateway monitoring mechanisms: internal audit and transaction velocity tracking.

Internal audit is used to reveal problems within a payment processing system itself. This audit presupposes the analysis of log files, generated by various subsystems, or regular checking of system services in order to test them beforehand.

The second mechanism is transaction velocity tracking. It is targeted at the detection of the connection problems and the errors occurring on the customer’s end. Two approaches to transaction volume monitoring can be applied. The first one (which suits individual terminals, for instance) is monitoring of transaction volumes by MID. The second one (which is preferably used for large POS applications which are utilized by many merchants) is monitoring of transaction volumes according to the specific integrations.

Also you should remember that payment gateway monitoring mechanisms must be checked from time to time, so higher-level audit procedures need to be used. Additional informational on this issue is available at #UniPayGateway. What is more, you can visit Paylosophy Payment Advice Portal.
